There will be three
common exams: a midterm, a final, and a Gateway. There will also
be two in-class exams, and possibly some quizzes, depending on the
instructor.

- Review problems and
sample exams will be posted on
this page later, usually about a week
before each exam.
- Normally, you have to take
the common midterm and final as scheduled.
- The only valid reasons for
missing a common exam are true emergencies, e.g., you are in jail or in
hospital!
- Don't make any other plan
(such as travel plan) that covers any common exam time. If you already
have one, reschedule it NOW.
- The only valid reasons for
a makeup common exams are official university events at which your
attendance must be required. You must provide documentation to the
coordinator at least 3 weeks in advance of the common midterm or final.
- For the midterm exam, if
(a) the midterm is in conflict with one of your regularly scheduled KU
classes, (b) besides the midterm you have to take another special exams
listed on Special Exam Schedule at the same time AND the midterm is the
last one on the list, please inform the coordinator immediately
and a makeup midterm exam will be arranged for you.
- Cell phones cannot be used
in any capacity during the common exams. If we see one it will be
confiscated until the end of the exam.
In-class exams and quizzes:
- In-class exams and
quizzes will be scheduled by your instructor.
Gateway Exam: New End Date-April
30th
- The Gateway exam will
consists of 10 randomly selected differentiation problems. The testing
room is STRONG 324, the hours of operation are 7:30-9:00p.m. M-R and
7:30-5:30p.m. on Friday. The testing center is closed during Spring
break and on the following "black-out" dates: March 6, 7, 12 and April 9, 10, 22 and 23.
Students are required to have their KUID and know their instructor's
name.
